The drive to
rebuild Lebanon into its pre-war status depends on a number of factors, basic among which
are the following:
Believing that Lebanon is a final homeland
for all its people.
Abolishing all forms of political
sectarianism, and separating the state from religion.
Enacting a law allowing civil marriage in
Lebanon.
Applying the Taef Agreement in full.
Implementing UN Security Council Resolution
1559 and all other resolutions passed by the international community..
Believing in and working for Lebanon's full
sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
Pressing for early elections according to a
new law based on the proportionate system to ensure true representation of the people.
Safeguarding Lebanon's cultural
characteristics and social diversity.
Bringing the younger generation to believe
in Lebanon and understand that their unity is essential for the survival of their
country.
Stabilizing security to give investors in
general, and Lebanese immigrants in particular the assurance that their invested money is
safe.
Enacting laws and regulations that would
enable investors to overcome the problems of the prevailing bureaucracy and corruption.
Standardizing the quality and measurements of Lebanese products to
comply with international norms. Giving
priority to and allocating a higher cut of the budget to needy areas that have been
ignored by the officials for decades.
